Does anyone have any pictures of the commemorative weapons? The wiki has none, and I haven't been able to find any anywhere else either.

Specifically, I'm interested in the melee weapons, mostly sword and dagger.

The wiki does have them.

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Commemorative_Weapon

Just click on the weapon you want to see, and view the image to the right.

Nor Ritualist.

Most of the weapons are based off the main allies/enemies that you meet while doing the WiK stuff. Since there was no Paragons, Dervishes, or Ritualists to assist you, they probably won't have weapons for them.

Seems weird that they would add just a basic Spectral Wand in the mix, instead of something like Koro's Staff or Lucent's Wand.

Not worth it IMO, the oppressor weapons have boring skins and the commemorative weapons have mostly bad stats. WTB another weapon design contest =)

I Agree. Draconic Aegis is the best looking shield ever !

Or atleast use skins that you cant get in pve now

(im talking about shield of the dead and stuff thats pvp reward only)

Have you seen the commemorative daggers ?! Its just two Elonain Gladius swords ! Talk about running out of idea's (Shinobi Blades would have been better lol !! )

There's your link to Oppressor's Weapons. They sell for about 20-50k now. And yes, they are the new "l33t" weapons to get and they are moddable.

Some of the Commemorative Weapons are not too bad, like Alari's Blades have a unique skin, but yes they will not be worth as much as the Oppressor's weapons. They sell for around 5-20k at most.

But you can get Commemorative Weapons at anytime in the keep, but with the Oppressor's, you have to beat the last mission to get access to them.
I'd never sell one of these weapons for less then 60k. I'd rather sell the supplies for 250g each, which they're still selling for easily enough, and make 62k.

I don't see the problem.
I did this for awhile at around 60-65k a weapon as getting more then that was/is very difficult.

Now all I see is wts oppressor weapon 50k left and right, so I've gone to selling war supplies for a far greater profit. Not worth the time to try and sell the weapon of your choice now.

You can get screwed by someone asking for, like, a communing focus, and then backing out of the deal.

Ask for a deposit. A RL shop that takes custom orders would want a good-faith deposit to show you really want what you are ordering.

Then you're asking the seller to assume all the risk in the transaction. No seller in his/her right mind would do that.

Go try to order custom cabinets/furniture/draperies/etc. without leaving a deposit. Or contract for work done on your house without a deposit.

RL logic =/= video game logic.

Its so much easier to cheat someone in a game transaction than it is in a real life transaction.

You can get arrested/fined for cheating your contractor out of the work he/she does for you, never mind the fact that there will be a whole sleuth of legal documentation (IE: accountability) that will be filled out. In GW you have to Screen Shot the deal and transaction and HOPE arena net takes your word on it.

I've converted war supplies to medals (bad move) and sold them to prospective buyers for 50k per weapon without incident. If an incident did occur I have plenty of screenshots / chat convos and what have you that I could make a reasonable case against them.

By the way some of the WiK weapon skins are pretty awsome Like the shield or scythe dyed black

as the poster above stated. There are more examples how rl and ig logic are directly opposed than they are similar.

Anyway I got some roof work earlier this year done without a deposit. It was a total of about $6000. So I did try, and succeded.

Considering some other armors and focuses still have clipping issues, not likely.

FINALLY!!! Been waiting a long time for these weapons and they finally here! Got both the tactics shield and sword Oppressor as a set! Couldn't be anymore satisfied, now. I've circled around my Hall of Monuments a couple of times just to watch the red light trail effect from the sword and shield. Lol!

Sucks that Captain Langmar died, though.

That's cuz the characters that the comm weapons are made for are not dervishes or paragons. At least I don't think so, I haven't seen any of them as such.
